Weaving the Threads
The roots beneath the work
Gita Amber Carroll -
my birth name, of song and stone.
This practice begins with listening — quiet, sacred, slow.
A devotion to the wisdom of body, psyche, and earth.
A remembering of rhythm, breath, and everyday beauty.

I was raised on the wild West Coast off Cape Town, South Africa.
A land of contrasts and deep ancestral story.
Afrikaans is my mother tongue; English my schooling.
I have always lived between worlds
where language blurs,
and identity shifts.
The fynbos teaches me to bloom in unlikely places.
The kelp forest feeds my breath.
The mountain holds my spine.
These landscapes are home,
places I return to,
to remember.
My lineage stretches wide: Irish, French, Dutch,
threads woven through migration,
myth,
and memory.
A South African patchwork: complex,
held in love.
I am rooted in who I am,
yet open — always — to who I’m becoming.
This is the spirit I bring:
to reflect,
to feel,
to create with care.
For over twenty years, I’ve walked with changemakers, artists, philanthropists, and storytellers,
weaving spaces where purpose meets presence,
where impact is held with tenderness.
My expression begins in words:
poems, stories, symbols.
Shaped by astrology, myth, and archetype.
Not answers,
but invitations.
Not maps,
but doorways into meaning.
